Kat Tyrell
Manager, Automotive and Mobility Strategy - OVIN

In her role with the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN), Kat is responsible for strategy development and strategic initiatives to support innovation and growth across Ontario’s automotive and mobility sector. Previously, Kat advised various levels of government in Canada and the UK on advanced technologies, research and innovation and transportation, and has led on policy development and strategic global partnerships on these topics. Kat also has an entrepreneurial background, having founded, grown and sold a social enterprise that continues to support local farmers and safeguard the rainforest in the Amazon Region of Brazil. Kat has lived and worked across Canada as well as in East Africa, South America and the Caribbean. She holds a bilingual Master of Public and International Affairs and a BA in International Studies from York University in Toronto.
