John Laughlin

John is the Chief Technology Officer at NGen, a not-for profit that supports manufacturers to develop advanced manufacturing R&D projects to drive innovation and create jobs in manufacturing across Canada. John joined NGen from the UK, where he was responsible for setting the strategies and running the UK government's R&D programs across the automotive, aerospace, and intelligent mobility sectors. While at Transport for London, his brief was to deliver part of the Olympic Transport Strategy for the London 2012 games. John began his career at Ford and Visteon, where he held senior engineering and program management roles. He is a UK Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
